Arkansas Razorbacks could be on the verge of landing an elite playmaker over two bluebloods who are also their biggest rivals
The Arkansas Razorbacks are trying to make some moves with new head coach Ryan Silverfield, and could land a four-star.
The Arkansas Razorbacks will get one of the final looks at four-star wide receiver Alvin Mosely. The 2027 WR is scheduled to make his decision on his future commitment late June, and just before that, he’s set to visit the Hogs on June 19.
It doesn’t always mean something, but getting the final, or one of the final visits, can leave a lasting impression better than, let’s say, someone who visited him far before his last few visits. Mosely is an elite receiver and a Rivals300 player with offers from nearly everywhere. New head coach Ryan Silverfield will want Mosely badly.
The Hogs have a shot at landing him over the Ole Miss Rebels, Texas Longhorns, and Houston Cougars.
“Me and Coach (Larry) Smith been in talks for a while,” Mosley told Rivals. “I like the direction they are trying to go … to get back in the running. It’s been a strong push throughout my recruitment, and the coach has been out a few times for my spring practice. Also, they are looking for a big-time guy to come in and have the opportunity to play early. I like the underdog story that Arkansas is living in. With the way this recruitment is going, they have their eyes on changing the program around.”
Of course, it won’t be easy. The Hogs still have a lot of work to do, and will have to ace the visit on June 19 because right now they are losing the battle.
Ole Miss and Texas seem to be ahead of Arkansas in battle for Alvin Mosely
Right now, Rivals’ prediction system has Ole Miss as the team most likely to land Mosely, at 84%, and Texas in second at 2%. The Hogs are behind those two programs, which have been killing it in recruiting.
Mosely still has a visit with Ole Miss June 5-7, and has already visited with Texas twice. Silverfield is playing from behind, but to even be in the conversation for a recruit like this is a win in itself.
