“Tight End University” has received national headlines every summer since it’s inception in the 2021 NFL offseason when the best tight ends across the NFL gathered on Nashville turf for a couple days of workouts and drills. For the 2026 offseason the Tennessee Titans have one of the architects of TEU in the building for the 2026 Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program.

Jeremy Holt, Nashville native and founder of AthElite Performance, has accepted one of four roles with the Titans this offseason as part of the “performance” staff under head coach Robert Saleh.

Holt is one of four coaches for the Tennessee Titans this offseason, through training camp, per the team’s announcement: D’Anthony Batiste (offensive line), Darryl Blackstock (linebackers), Larry Dace (special teams and running backs).

Holt’s rise as a go-to NFL player offseason training destination

Holt launched AthElite Performance in 2017 back in his hometown of Nashville where he was a star running back at David Lipscomb High School (now Lipscomb Academy) with 2007 Tennessee Mr. Football Finalist, and First-Team 3A All-State titles to his resume.

After his playing career at Harding University Holt found his path as a personal trainer in Nashville as the Titans were about to enter their playoff appearance run in the late 2010’s.

Titans players such as safety Kevin Byard, and wide receivers Corey Davis and Tajae Sharpe were on the early end of working with Holt once the NFL dead period hit late June through most of July. Once Byard broke out as one of the league’s best young safeties, and the Titans starting winning, more players joined him with Holt. The “MMCNBs” (My Man Catch No Balls) era of Titans defensive backs were Holt clients.

The Covid-19 situation created reason for more NFL players to find Holt as restrictions made things more difficult. Then in 2021, Tight End University was founded by Nashville resident and San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, alongside fellow stars Travis Kelce and Greg Olson.

“Tight End University was created to bring the Tight End community together for an immersive three-day program. Over the course of the summit, attendees are able to bond, collaborate with, and learn amongst their peers while participating in a variety of activities including film study, on-field drills, recovery, rehabilitation, and more.”

Holt’s roster of NFL athletes has far exceeded the point of where an award winner doesn’t name names at the podium when accepting the award in fear of leaving out important people. Here’s a post from April with 12 active NFL players present.

The Bill Walsh Coaching Fellowship has helped coaches gain NFL exposure through the offseason program for now over 30 years. Holt’s private training track record is deep and strong as he approaches nearly a decade with AthElite Performance.

AthElite Performance’s impact on Nashville and Middle Tennessee athletes of all ages

Holt’s roster of NFL stars expanded into pre-draft training for exiting college players. Then local high school, middle school, youth athletes across the Nashville area.

As AthElite Performance grew, Holt launched more opportunities to give back, including the “Athlete In Motion” scholarship.

“Athelite In Motion Inc. “A.I.M.” AIM is intended to use our platform and resources to provide hope, relief, and scholarship to at-risk and underserved youth in our communities,” Holt writes at his site. “We hope to foster the mentorship of more kids in the city of Nashville with this opportunity to empower the next generation.”

“The goal of AthElite In Motion is HUMAN DEVELOPMENT. We “AIM” to come alongside kids in Nashville who do not have the resources to pay for training and create an environment where they can spiritually develop, learn executive skills through structure and discipline and become leaders with integrity. These scholarships will include physical and sport specific training, leadership and spiritual development, skill and passion discovery, financial literacy as well as community service. We welcome your support in playing a role as a donor and helping provide a direct impact to these underserved youth. With your contribution, we will continue to make an impact for the kids who need us the most.”
