2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges is taking his highly anticipated official visit with the Tennessee Volunteers this weekend.

The visit comes a week after Gabriel Georges took his official visit to Ohio State, which reportedly went quite well.

Tennessee, though, has a few tricks up its sleeve for the five-star running back’s visit to Rocky Top, including a secret weapon that Ohio State can’t compete with.

Alvin Kamara is in Knoxville for David Gabriel Georges’ visit to Tennessee

Vols cornerbacks coach Derek Jones tweeted a photo of former Tennessee running back Alvin Kamara on campus on Friday.

This is a big deal because Kamara is one of Gabriel Georges’ favorite players.

Gabriel Georges, in fact, was bummed in 2024 that he didn’t visit Tennessee for the Vols’ win over Alabama because Kamara ended up coming to the game.

“I’m watching highlights from running backs like Alvin Kamara,” said Gabriel Georges to GoVols247 in 2024. “I’m a big fan of him. And that’s why I was, like, mad when he came up to the Alabama game. I was mad because I didn’t go.”

Kamara, as you may recall, famously “interrupted” Heupel’s postgame press conference after Tennessee’s win over Alabama two years ago.

The Vols are clearly putting their best foot forward this weekend, and bringing Kamara to town is a brilliant move by Heupel and company.

Gabriel Georges is planning to commit on July 22.
