Cam Jordan’s never been afraid to speak his mind and his latest comments are aimed at a former New Orleans Saints coach in Todd Grantham.

Jordan took the shot on X in defense of his teammate, Bryan Bresee, a former first-round draft pick of the Saints. Recently, there’s been some debate centered around whether or not Bresee has lived up to his draft billing over the first three years in the league. Even if the Saints decided to pick up his fifth-year option a couple months ago.

Jordan blamed the negative perception on Grantham’s inability to develop Bresee over the first two years of his career. Bresee took on a new role under Brandon Staley and showed a lot of potential in Year 1, leaving some to think 2026 could be a breakout year for the former Clemson Tiger.

“Bresee a dog!!!,” Jordan wrote on X. “He can win off the first two steps. If he had had a competent dl coach he’d didn [he didn’t] have to overcome his first two yrs, he’d have developed even more.”

Grantham coached the Saints defensive line from 2023-2024 and the results weren’t pretty. The defense finished 29th in sacks (34) and 28th in pressure rate (18.7%) in 2023 and 20th in sacks (39) and 19th in pressure rate (21.5%) in 2024.

Ironically enough, Jordan had the worst season his of career since his rookie year under Grantham, but Bresee recorded a career-high 7.5 sacks in 2024. Grantham was part of the purge after Dennis Allen was fired and got a job as Oklahoma State’s defensive coordinator after his stint with Saints.

He was fired just four games into the 2025 season after the Cowboys gave up 612 yards in a 45-27 loss to the Baylor Bears. Which obviously gives some credence to Jordan’s claim.

Either way, if 2026 does end up as Bresee’s breakout year, it’ll go a long way toward helping the Saints (who are already a dark horse playoff team) get back to the postseason.
