The perfect storm brewing for Miami Dolphins tight end Greg Dulcich in 2026 just kicked into another gear
A massive opportunity for Miami Dolphins tight end Greg Dulcich just got even bigger.
The place atop the Miami Dolphins‘ 2026 target distribution is wide open. This offense has little established talent, which sets the stage for someone to opportunistically post a breakout season in 2026.
It could be a rookie wide receiver. Heck, the Dolphins have three of them. Perhaps it’s third-year receiver Malik Washington. Or Tutu Atwell. Tight end Greg Dulcich is another contender. He flashed last season and has earned praise for his spring work with Malik Willis. The opportunity is ripe for the picking. And the stakes for Dulcich in 2026 are surging higher and higher as NFL teams continue to pay their own tight ends. Jacksonville’s Brenton Strange is the latest.
Tight end stocks are through the roof and a perfect storm may be brewing for Miami Dolphins tight end Greg Dulcich
Brenton Strange is, like Dulcich, an athletic tight end with a high ceiling in the passing game. Strange, over the past two seasons, has averaged just short of 500 receiving yards per season. He’s just 9 months younger than Dulcich and has six career receiving touchdowns in three seasons.
This isn’t necessarily Kyle Pitts, the other NFL tight end who got a supersized contract extension this week. Pitts, a former top-5 draft choice, got nabbed a three-year, $54 million deal while scheduled to play in 2026 on the franchise tag. Pitts has multiple seasons with 900+ receiving yards — there’s a pedigree that creates a spending ceiling.
But nevertheless, Strange is a good player. So, too, is Dulcich, who may be positioned to blow by Strange’s numbers from this past season in 2026. Strange was the 61st overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft; Dulcich was the 80th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. There’s plenty of overlap in pedigree. If the production matches? Let’s not forget Dulcich signed a one-year deal valued at $3.5 million this March. He’s in a contract year. Play well in 2026, seize the moment amid the Miami Dolphins’ wide open pass catcher situation and, who knows? The payday could be monumental. If…of course…Dulcich meets the moment in 2026.
