Top Ohio State target RB David Gabriel Georges sends out subtle message after noise comes about favoring Tennessee
The latest around five-star RB David Gabriel Georges sounded promising for Tennessee on Monday. Now, the top Ohio State target has sent out a message, and it could be good news for the Buckeyes.
The date is closing in for five-star RB David Gabriel Georges to make his college decision on July 22.
Ohio State has Gabriel Georges at the top of their board and he’s a must-land for the class of 2027 in Columbus.
The Buckeyes are battling Tennessee and to a lesser degree Ole Miss. On Monday evening, news came out that Gabriel Georges has made his decision.
“He’s already made his decision,” his uncle, Jean Agenor stated, via Rivals. “We had our meeting last week. We went through the three programs and how he feels about them and how he feels about his opportunity to play right away and his opportunity to make it to the league in three years.”
Along with the decision being made, a comment from Gabriel Georges’ uncle sounded great for Tennessee, and not so great for Ohio State.
“Tennessee, it’s different,” Agenor said, via Rivals. “That’s where we have the best relationships overall. We might have the best position coach relationship with Coach Lock, been around him a long time, but I think overall when it comes to a staff the best relationships are with Tennessee.”
David Gabriel Georges drops cryptic message after the latest noise around his impending commitment
The five-star running back has been rather quiet most of his recruitment and his family has done more talking than he has. Following the comments surfacing from his uncle, DGG took to X to say this.
While we don’t know what Gabriel Georges means by this, Ohio State fans have taken it as good news. Perhaps he’s saying none of that came from him, the one who will be making the decision? Time will tell.
Ohio State has turned away multiple running backs this class due to being all in on Gabriel Georges. If the Buckeyes swing and miss on the elite running back recruit, they’ll have to reevaluate and try to flip a running back from elsewhere.
We’re over a couple of weeks out still from a commitment, and noise could start to pick up even more the closer we get.
