Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers just made a sneaky big move that has the rest of college football taking notice
Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers aren’t messing around this fall.
Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers made a sneaky big move on Friday.
On Thursday, Kiffin played coy when asked if LSU will add any class of 2022 players that are now eligible to play in 2026 (due to recent injunctions).
“I think there’s a lot into that and the questions that come from that,” said Kiffin. “Fair question, but I’m just not gonna comment on any of it because there’s just too many directions of questions I can go to.”
On Friday, LSU added one of those class of 2022 players.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Notre Dame transfer defensive end Junior Tuihalamaka has committed to LSU.
Tuihalamaka played in 54 games (with six starts) during his four seasons at Notre Dame. He totaled 61 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and 4.0 sacks.
There’s some uncertainty right now with whether the class of 2022 players will remain eligible as the NCAA continues to fight against the rulings. But for now, it appears LSU is moving forward with adding Tuihalamaka to the program.
