Lane Kiffin made LSU a decent chunk of money by losing to Kentucky in Lexington
The LSU Tigers suffered their second loss of the season this past Saturday after falling to the Kentucky Wildcats.
Lane Kiffin lost his second game as LSU’s head coach this past Saturday in Lexington.
The Tigers lost 35-34 to Kentucky in overtime on Saturday night.
Wildcats fans celebrated the upset win by storming the field.
It’s probably not much consolation to LSU fans, but Kentucky is reportedly being fined $500,000 by the SEC for violating the league’s “access to competition area” policy.
And that money goes directly to LSU.
It’s not much of a silver lining, but hey, $500,000 is $500,000. That could land LSU a quality transfer player this offseason (or it could be the down payment on a quarterback).
Fans would obviously trade the $500,000 for a win against Kentucky 10 times out of 10, but at least LSU got something out of a dreadful night in Lexington.
