Elite 5-star playmaker will visit Ohio State football for two of their biggest games this season
Ohio State will welcome in a major 5-star target for two of its biggest games this season.
The Ohio State Buckeyes have no plans of slowing down their wide receiver recruiting pipeline, even with Brian Hartline no longer in the picture.
With 5-star wide receiver Jamier Brown committed for the class of 2027 and Jett Harrison committed for the class of 2028, the Buckeyes and wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton are already building the next wave.
Ohio State would love to double up on 5-star receivers in the 2028 class, and Providence Day School (NC) 5-star wideout Braylon Clark sits at the top of the board.
The Buckeyes are seen as the early favorite for Clark, who has scheduled his fall visits. He will be in Columbus twice in November alone, according to Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong. Clark will visit Ohio State on Nov. 7 when the Buckeyes host Oregon, then return on Nov. 28 when Ohio State hosts Michigan.

“What stands out about OSU for me is obviously how they develop elite wide receivers,” Clark said recently via Rivals. “What excites me about the opportunity to play for the Buckeyes is obviously their tradition and culture.”
According to 247Sports composite rankings, Clark is the No. 12 player in the class of 2028 and the No. 4 wide receiver. The 6-foot-2.5, 188-pound wideout is a multi-sport athlete who also runs track and plays basketball.
Clark is being recruited hard by the Oregon Ducks, and Dan Lanning’s squad is seen as the biggest competitor to Ohio State in this recruitment. Landing Clark in this class would be a big recruiting win for Ohio State, which already has Harrison along with 5-star quarterback recruit Christopher Vargas, the No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2028.
Ohio State is clearly continuing to build up its offense for the future. Clark would be another potential player who could see the field early in Columbus. Both game day visits carry weight, and the Ohio State environments for the Oregon and Michigan games could go a long way in determining whether Ohio State lands him.
