Hamilton County is helping Bengals fans check an important box to attend Cincinnati’s game in Spain
The Cincinnati Bengals are playing their third international game in franchise history, and first-ever in Spain on Nov. 8 against the Atlanta Falcons. Hamilton County has been busy this week helping fans to get overseas for the game.
The Cincinnati Bengals are playing their third international game in franchise history, and first-ever in Spain on Nov. 8 against the Atlanta Falcons. The Week 9 game will be played in Madrid, the country’s capital, at Bernabéu, the home of the Real Madrid football club.
Hamilton County has been busy this week helping fans to get overseas for the game.
Discounted passport photos for Bengals fans
A new promotion was launched earlier this week by the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts. The “Who Dey to Madrid” promotion is offering fans who wear Bengals gear to one of their participating passport locations a 50% discount off their photo.
That’s a $10 passport photo!
The promotion began Tuesday and runs until Saturday, though only one of the participating offices will be open that day.

Excitement for an international game
Cincinnati hasn’t played outside of the U.S. since 2019 in Zac Taylor’s first year as head coach. Joe Burrow was in the middle of his historic Heisman Trophy-winning season with LSU. He’s yet to experience an international game with the Bengals, and after missing out on this exact opportunity last year, he’s relishing the chance this time around.
“[Burrow]’s been vocal about it,” NFL VP of broadcast planning Mike North said earlier this offseason. “I remember he was pretty disappointed last year when you guys didn’t go. I think that’s a real possibility for the Bengals this year. Certainly, they’re a candidate to go play Washington in London, certainly a candidate to go play Atlanta in Madrid. They’ve got one of those fan bases, thanks in large part to the quarterback, that resonates in Europe and across the planet.”
It’s a rare opportunity for NFL clubs in general. Last year the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders played the league’s first-ever regular season contest in Spain. There’s no telling when the Bengals will ever be back in the country.
For fans in Cincinnati wanting to take advantage, they have a couple days to get a discounted passport photo wearing their Bengals gear.
