Bengals Week 1 inactives vs. Buccaneers
- WR Ke’Shawn Williams
- TE Jack Endries
- OL. Myles Hinton
- OL Connor Lew
- DE Shemar Stewart
- DT Landon Robinson
- CB Josh Newton
Stewart is no surprise to be listed here. He was doubtful on the final injury report with his knee injury that took him out for a month of practice. He was a limited participant earlier in the week.
Cashius Howell and Cedric Johnson are the backups at EDGE behind starters Boye Mafe and Myles Murphy.
Williams not dressing is a bit shocking. He won a roster battle as the kickoff returner over Charlie Jones, and that was going to be the reason why he would be active. Without him, Dohnte Meyers looks to be the guy returning kicks alongside backup running back Tahj Brooks.
This also means rookie wideout Colbie Young is active and will make his NFL debut. Lew will not, which means Jacob Bayer is the backup center to start out the year. Lew is 11 months removed from a torn ACL he suffered in college, and Bayer started training camp as the second-string C.
Hinton is inactive as the newest offensive lineman on the team. Javon Foster is set to be the backup swing tackle.
