‘Everybody’s probably gonna be shocked’ – Former Ohio State star calls his shot for Kentucky vs Tennessee matchup
Tennessee will play an extremely important game against Kentucky on Saturday night in Neyland Stadium.
The Tennessee Vols need to go 4-0 in November to reach the College Football Playoff.
First up for the Vols in the quest to go 4-0 this month are the Kentucky Wildcats, who are 7-1 and ranked No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings.
A win over the Wildcats would likely vault Tennessee, which is currently No. 13 in the College Football Playoff rankings, into the top 10. A loss, on the other hand, would probably eliminate the Volunteers from playoff contention.
Former Ohio State running back calls his shot for Kentucky vs Tennessee
Former Ohio State running back Beanie Wells, who is currently an analyst for CBS Sports, made his pick this week for the Kentucky vs Tennessee game.
And he has the Wildcats pulling off the upset.
“I gotta go Kentucky,” said Wells. “I love them upsetting Tennessee. Everybody’s probably gonna be shocked. It’s understanding, though, with George MacIntyre at the quarterback position, the QB play has not been ultra-efficient for Tennessee. They’ve kind of had a quarterback carousel. Although I do love [DeSean] Bishop and their ability to run the football. I just think Will Stein and (UK QB) Kenny Minchey, they have something going with this football team.”
Tennessee and Kentucky are set to kick off at 6:15 PM ET on Saturday. The game will air on ESPN.
