The Alabama Crimson Tide is going into one of the most highly anticipated seasons in recent memory. Year three for Kalen DeBoer will be pressure-packed, with a new quarterback in Tuscaloosa. It won’t be easy for Alabama, as the Tide faces a five-game stretch that will make or break its season come October.

But what about Week 1? Well, we know that Alabama will start its season against East Carolina, but now we know when and where to watch it.

Alabama 2026 season facts

  • Kalen DeBoer will have a handpicked quarterback starting.
  • DeBoer enters year three with security after signing a 7-year extension.
  • Alabama enters 2026 with new OL coach Adrian Klemm.

Alabama vs. Eastern Carolina time, TV channel announced

It’s no surprise to see Alabama play at 11 am local, but it is a tad surprising to see Alabama featured on ABC, given the quality of the opponent. That’s no shot at Eastern Carolina, that’s just the facts of the matter.

Other premier games and times have started to be announced, and College GameDay has already named its first two locations of the 2026 season. Week 1 will feature the new look LSU Tigers under Lane Kiffin, while Week 2 will be the Ohio State-Texas rematch from 2025, but this time, in Austin.

For the University of Alabama, starting out on a good foot will be paramount. The Tide has a five-game stretch starting October 10 that features the Georgia Bulldogs, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas A&M Aggies, LSU Tigers, and Vanderbilt Commodores.

If Alabama is truly a championship-caliber team the way many at the Capstone believe, the Crimson Tide will need to get through that gauntlet with one loss at most.

A tall task that Alabama will have to try to achieve if it wants to get back to the pinnacle of the sport.
