Notre Dame football fans have been waiting for the offense to fully feature running back Jeremiyah Love, wanting to see just how special the sophomore could be. We have seen the flashes over the course of his young career so far, but seeing it at a higher volume was still the desire. It wasn’t a flashy overall day in the box score during the team's 31-13 victory over Georgia Tech for Love, but Irish fans continued to see the big play ability that Love brings to the table.

We saw it as a receiver, as a runner, and even on a fake punt. On the day, Love ended with 93 total yards and a touchdown, but it felt like a ton more. It was actually Love’s eighth straight game scoring a touchdown for the St. Louis standout dating back to last season.

It isn’t the greatest analysis of all time, but Love just moves a whole lot differently than just about everyone on the football field. When he touches the football, you tend to just hold your breath for a second. The amount of explosiveness, agility, and playmaking potential that Love possesses is truly special. Irish fans understand what type of talent he brings to the table.

There were two massive takeaways to monitor moving forward for Notre Dame. One, Love touched the ball 17 times in the contest against Georgia Tech, which was great to see. The second big takeaway is that we also saw Love’s impact in the passing game, hauling in three receptions for 57 yards on the day. Both of those were the main things that fans wanted to see.

It’s about them peaking at the right times, and this Notre Dame team has shown progress every week. With Love’s increased touches, you can get especially excited for what his production and impact can be down the stretch of the season. That was a huge takeaway from the game today, seeing No. 4 with the football in his hand more regularly.
