It's been a busy Monday when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys.

They lost starting left guard Connor McGovern in free agency to the Buffalo Bills. Also, they restructured the deal of wide receiver Michael Gallup to free up $7 million more dollars of cap space.

One of the Cowboys' biggest in-house free agents, defensive end Dante Fowler, may be back for another run with America's Team as Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reported that the Cowboys are doing everything they can to re-sign him.

Fowler signed a one-year deal last March for $3 million. It was a bargain deal, but the Cowboys got a pretty good return on it.

The former first-round pick finished tied for third on the Cowboys with defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence with six sacks, and he did so without logging a single start all season.

If the Cowboys do retain Fowler, it shouldn't cost them too much money.

It would also keep quite a formidable pass rush for the Cowboys with Micah Parsons, Lawrence, Fowler, Sam Williams, and Dorance Armstrong. So, with free agency officially kicking off soon, the next few days will be interested as far as this situation goes.
