The Detroit Lions and their fan base are excited about this season. For good reason, their offense played better than expected last season, and their defense is still young. They've made plenty of additions on both sides of the football, but luckily, they have room to make plenty more moves.

The Lions currently sit at fourth in the NFL in cap space. Detroit has just over $23 million in cap space right now in the middle of June.

It's an important aspect for the Lions front office. As a younger roster with a fiery coaching staff, they still have room to add more talent in free agency or at the trade deadline. In a perceived "weaker" NFC North this year, they can contend for a division title. Jared Goff proved in 2022 that he can run their offense, and he has some talent around him. Not to mention, their defense has more top-end players than last season as well.

The Lions have the space in their wallet to keep building their depth chart as well. Keep an eye on them.
