Being 5-7 when you head into your bye week isn't great. However, considering everything the Las Vegas Raiders have been through this season, it's better than where things could be.

The Raiders have a lot to work on and not much time. The clock is ticking, and the Raiders need to figure some things out for 2024. First, on their list, figure out who will be the general manager and head coach. Right now, the front runners are unsure, but interim general manager Champ Kelly and interim head coach Antonio Pierce are making a great case for themselves.

So, what does this mean for the bye week? Well, Pierce knows what he needs to work on. He's not going to say exactly what, but he certainly has an idea.

"Get right, I got five weeks," Pierce said. "Get right. If I don't get it right, I'll have a lot more time off, 52 weeks. I can do the math."

The next five weeks are an introduction to the head coaching gig in 2024. He would be perfect for the job in terms of what Mark Davis wants – a guy who embodies what it means to be a Raider. But, now he has to show that he can make this team a winning team.
