Tennessee Vols fans are among the most passionate and supportive fans in the nation.

In fact, it seems like every week there's a reminder of how incredible the Vol fan base can be.

On Saturday, Tennessee fans gave us that reminder via the way they cheered for Vols backup catcher Charlie Taylor.

Tennessee catcher Charlie Taylor throws the ball back to the mound during the NCAA Baseball Tournament Knoxville Regional between the Tennessee Volunteers and Campbell Fighting Camels held at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Saturday, June 4, 2022.

Taylor, a redshirt freshman from Georgia, hasn't played a lot this season as he served in a backup role to starting catcher Evan Russell.

This weekend, however, Taylor has been pressed into action due to Russell being unavailable on Friday night. Russell was available on Saturday but he didn't start (Russell, according to a tweet from his father, has been dealing with "stress, anxiety, and pressure).

Tennessee fans have rallied around Taylor all weekend. And after he drew a walk in an impressive 10-pitch at-bat on Saturday against Campbell, and then stole second, the fans at Lindsey Nelson Stadium broke into a "Charlie" chant.

There aren't many places where the backup catcher receives a standing ovation and gets to hear fans chanting his name. Vols fans are as loyal as it gets and they show that on an almost daily basis.
