The Tennessee Vols‘ matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs earlier this month didn’t go as UT fans hoped it would.

Georgia beat Tennessee 27-13 which resulted in the Bulldogs climbing to the top of the College Football Playoff rankings.

Tennessee fell to No. 5 in the rankings, which means they need some help to make the playoff.

The Vols might need USC or TCU to lose to reach the playoff. Still, Tennessee is in a good spot to make the playoff for now.

And if they make the playoff, that will likely mean a rematch with Georgia (either in the semi-final or the championship game).

If that matchup happens, CBS Sports’ Rick Neuheisel, who was one of the announcers for Tennessee’s win against Missouri, thinks the Vols would beat Georgia on a neutral field.

Neuheisel thinks the Vols will review the film and find “opportunities”.

I don’t know who would win a rematch between Tennessee and Georgia. Both teams are elite. And while the Bulldogs won round one convincingly, I still think the Vols are very capable of taking down Georgia — especially on a natural field.

Hopefully, college football fans get this rematch because Tennessee might be the only team that has a shot to knock off the Bulldogs this season (maybe Michigan and their defense could beat UGA…sorry Ohio State, not your year).
