South Carolina Gamecocks cornerback Cam Smith had some words for the Tennessee Vols on Saturday night after UT’s 63-38 loss in Columbia.
Specifically, he had a message for Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.
Smith was asked about the “trash talk” between himself and Hyatt during the game.
And Smith dropped a savage response.
“There ain’t much trash talk when it’s only one way,” said Smith after South Carolina’s win.

Hyatt, who was returning to his hometown to play for the second time in his collegiate career, was held to six receptions for 65 yards on 13 targets.
It certainly wasn’t the best game of the season for Hyatt, but that doesn’t diminish the incredible season he’s had. Sometimes you just have an off night. Perhaps Hyatt was a little too keyed for his return to his hometown.
There was a lot of pressure on Hyatt to put on a show at Williams-Brice Stadium. It’s important to remember that he’s still developing as a football player. And that performance in Columbia won’t define Hyatt as a player.
As for Smith’s comments?
Well, those are comments you get to make when you’re on the winning side of a 63-38 game.
