The Tennessee Vols have been doing their work in trying to land four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson from Lithonia, GA.

That work has paid off enough to at least be among his final teams. Jackson has set a commitment date of June 10, per Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports/Rivals, and the Vols are among his seven finalists.

Tennessee also holds a major advantage going into that date, as they currently have his last scheduled official visit on June 5.

However, at least according to one outlet, that could be subject to change.

2027 4-star OL Kennedee Jackson could switch his June visit from Tennessee to Georgia

Per Gators Online of the On3/Rivals network, Jackson informed them that he could end up switching his June 5 visit from Tennessee to Georgia. Florida is set to host the big lineman on May 28.

“Jackson also had Tennessee marked for an official visit on June 5, which is the weekend right before his planned commitment date,” wrote Blake Alderman of Gators Online. “However, he tells Gators Online that his trip to Knoxville could be replaced with Georgia.”

Obviously, not visiting Tennessee would be a bad sign right before he makes and announces his decision. But for the time being, Tennessee remains in the hunt in his recruitment.

Jackson is ranked as the No. 139 overall player, No. 14 offensive tackle, and No. 14 player in the state of Georgia for the 2027 cycle. Beyond his finalists, he holds offers from Texas Tech, USC, Colorado, Nebraska, and Virginia Tech, among many others.

We’ll find out in the coming weeks if Jackson sticks with his visit to Knoxville, as that would seemingly keep the Vols at least in the chase leading up to June 10.
