National college basketball analyst makes transfer prediction for Tennessee Vols transfer portal target Juke Harris
The Tennessee Vols are being aggressive in the NCAA transfer portal this offseason as the program looks to build a roster that can reached the Final Four after coming up one game short the last three seasons.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons guard Juke Harris is one of the players in the transfer portal that the Tennessee Vols are showing interest in.
Harris, 6-foot-7/200 pounds from Salisbury, NC, averaged 21.4 points per game as a sophomore for Wake Forest this past season.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, the Volunteers are “fighting” to get into the mix for Harris.
The Michigan Wolverines, however, are viewed as one of the favorites to land Harris.
(Michigan has already been active in the portal, landing a commitment from Vols transfer forward J.P. Estrella on Thursday).
National analyst makes transfer prediction for Juke Harris
On3’s Jamie Shaw has predicted Friday that Harris will land at Michigan, though he noted that “the recruitment is not done”.
“I am being told Harris is a high-priority recruit for Dusty May and to watch this visit closely,” wrote Shaw. “While I am told the recruitment is not done, and some boxes still need to be checked on the visit, I have placed an RPM for the Wolverines to ultimately land Harris.”
Tennessee has a relationship with Harris after recruiting him as a high school player.
For the Vols to have a real chance to land Harris, a dynamic wing who can score, he’ll need to leave his visit at Michigan without committing. The Vols don’t currently have a visit set up with Harris, but that could change at any time. The transfer portal is fluid and things can (and often do) change at a moment’s notice.
