National reporter doubles down on prediction for Juke Harris and the Tennessee Vols, but one big question still remains

The Tennessee Vols’ top remaining transfer portal target is Wake Forest Demon Deacons guard Juke Harris. Tennessee is viewed as the heavy favorite to land Harris out of the portal.

A prominent national reporter doubled down on his prediction for the Tennessee Vols and coveted Wake Forest transfer guard Juke Harris.

On3’s Chris Low tweeted on Sunday night that he expects Harris to “make it official” with Tennessee very soon.

Low said the previous week that his intel points to Harris committing to the Vols.

Harris is a 6-foot-7 guard from Salisbury, NC — which is just an hour east of Rick Barnes’ hometown of Hickory — who averaged 21 points per game as a sophomore for the Demon Deacons last season. He’s viewed as the “missing piece” for the Vols.

Low is one of the top reporters in the business. Nothing is ever done until it’s done in college sports, but it certainly sounds like Tennessee is on the verge of getting some good news on Harris.

Chris Low’s report about Juke Harris is positive for the Vols, but one big question still remains

It seems inevitable that Harris is going to commit to Tennessee, but what about his interest in the 2026 NBA Draft?

VolQuest’s Austin Price said last week on WNML’s Josh and Swain that Harris wants to give the NBA a “hard look”.

“He and his agents want to give the NBA a hard look and see where they stand,” said Price. “And see what feedback they get. If it stays late first or early second round, I just have a tough time seeing him go that route. Now, if they said, ‘Hey, man, you’ve done a tremendous job in the workout process, and you’re going to jump up to a lottery pick’, I think he’d be gone.

“But I think if he stays kind of where everybody’s projecting him, I think there’s a real chance that he comes back to college. I think Tennessee makes the most sense. I think financially and location wise, they kind of hit what he’s looking for in the sweet spot. And I think Tennessee felt like they were in a good place there for a while, and I think Rick Barnes and the entire staff have continued to work him really hard.”

Harris has until May 27 to withdraw from the NBA Draft.

It’s possible, though, that he could withdraw at any time between now and May 27.
