Despite entering November with two conferences losses, the Tennessee Vols still have a shot to win the SEC East this season.

But they'll need some help from an old enemy/friend.

Tennessee obviously needs to win out to have any chance of winning the SEC East. They finish the season with a road game against Missouri which will be followed by back-to-back home games against Georgia and Vanderbilt.

In addition to winning out, the Vols need Ole Miss to beat Georgia this upcoming weekend.

That's right. The Vols' SEC East division title hopes rest partly on Lane Kiffin's shoulders.

The Rebels, which are 8-1 and coming off a narrow win against Texas A&M, are in a similar situation in the SEC West. Ole Miss needs Alabama to lose to Kentucky and Auburn for the Rebels to have a chance at winning the SEC West (Bama's lone loss this season was a non-conference loss to Texas and they've already beaten Ole Miss head to head).

Ole Miss will take on Georgia in Athens on Saturday at 6:00 PM ET. I'm sure Sanford Stadium will be rocking for a game against Kiffin and the Rebels (especially if Kiffin throws any jabs at Georgia this week during his press conferences). It won't be an easy task for the Rebels to knock off the Bulldogs, but it's certainly doable. Georgia, while still elite, doesn't look quite as dominant as they did a season ago.

Still, it's Georgia. And the game is Athens. So Vols fans probably shouldn't expect an outcome that keeps the SEC East in play for Tennessee. But at least the Vols have a chance in November, albeit a small chance.
