The Tennessee Vols are officially in serious danger of losing a key player they don’t want to lose to the Georgia Bulldogs
The Tennessee Volunteers are officially in serious danger of losing an elite recruit to the Georgia Bulldogs. The Vols, however, are going to do what they can to keep the talented recruit commited.
The Tennessee Vols are in real danger of losing a 2027 four-star commit to an SEC rival.
2027 four-star defensive lineman Kadin Fife has been committed to the Vols since November, but he hasn’t exactly shut down his recruitment.
Fife, 6-foot-5/290 pounds from Summerville, GA, visited the Georgia Bulldogs this past weekend.
The visit went well enough that Fife confirmed that he plans to return Athens later this month for an official visit.
Fife sent a tweet on Monday confirming the visit.
Kadin Fife returning to Georgia for an official visit is a bad sign for Tennessee
Auburn, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and Texas are also trying to flip Fife from Tennessee, but it’s Georgia that looms as the biggest threat to the Volunteers (Ole Miss is a bigger threat to Tennessee than Auburn, Georgia Tech, and Texas).
“Georgia has not let up in its pursuit to flip Fife away from Tennessee,” wrote On3’s Hunter Shelton this week. “The blue-chipper is certainly intrigued by staying in the Peach State next year.”
The Vols are trying to hold on to Fife — Vols defensive line coach Rodney Garner visited the four-star recruit early last week — but Georgia is the home state school, so this won’t be an easy task for Tennessee.
247Sports’ Benjamin Wolk predicted in April that Fife will eventually land with the Bulldogs. I’m sure Wolk is feeling even better about that prediction after Fife’s visit to Georgia this past weekend.
