Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings is considered by most NFL draft analysts as a late round pick.

That's mostly because of Jennings' slow 40 time.

The Murfreesboro native ran a 4.72 earlier this offseason at the combine.

Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt, however, isn't concerned about Jennings' 40 time. Pruitt thinks Jennings is going to be successful in the NFL, regardless of what team selects him or how fast he runs.

I think Pruitt is right. Jennings might not have the impressive combine numbers that other wide receivers have, but he has what can't be measured — heart.

I'm not sure there's a wide receiver in the draft this year that plays with more passion than Jennings. And that's not a subjective statement. The stats back it up.

Jennings was one of the hardest players in the nation to tackle in 2019.

I don't know if Jennings is going to be a Pro-Bowl caliber wide receiver. And I don't know if he'll ever have a 1,000 yard receiving season. But he's going to play in the NFL and he's going to have a lengthy career.

It's not easy to find tough, dependable players like Jennings.

And that slow 40 time? Well I can guarantee you that Jennings runs faster than that out on the field.

If you don't believe me, just ask former Florida Gators defensive back Jalen Tabor.
