The Tennessee Vols are dealing with a couple of offensive injuries ahead of their matchup with the Florida Gators in Gainesville on Saturday.

Vols senior tight end Miles Kitselman suffered a knee injury in the second half of Tennessee’s 42-9 win over New Mexico State this past weekend.

Redshirt junior offensive lineman Wendell Moe also suffered an injury in the win.

Vols head coach Josh Heupel declined to provide an update for either player while speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference on Monday.

Vols insider shares the latest on Miles Kitselman and Wendell Moe

VolQuest’s Brent Hubbs joined WNML’s SportsTalk on Tuesday, and he was asked about the status of Kitselman and Moe for the upcoming game against Florida.

Hubbs noted that he would be surprised if Kitselman plays.

“Both he (Kitselman) and Wendell Moe are dealing with leg/knee type things,” said Hubbs. “And certainly the reaction from Kitselman and his inability to put full weight on his knee going into the locker room for further evaluation makes it seem really unlikely that he would be available for Saturday — and maybe even the final regular season game. But we don’t know. We’ll see what the injury report says.

“I would be really surprised if [Kitselman] were available on Saturday. I think the bigger question is where’s Wendell Moe? Because that one seems to be more up in the air to me than where Miles Kitselman is right now.”

It sounds like Moe is more likely to play than Kistelman.

The first SEC injury report of the week will be released on Wednesday night.

If Kistelman can’t play as expected, it will likely mean more playing time for true freshman tight end Dasaahn Brame.
