The Tennessee Vols‘ social media team dropped a Mic’d up video of UT head coach Josh Heupel this week that shows his unique coaching style.

Here’s the video for you to check out:

I always love a good Mic’d up video — it doesn’t matter which sport it is.

This clip of Heupel, however, is extremely interesting to me. I think it does a great job of illustrating this coaching style — specifically when it comes to quarterbacks.

Heupel takes the time to teach and make corrections. He’s not screaming at quarterbacks or doing too much. Instead, he’s educating.

Tennessee’s head coach is vocal, he’s demanding, but he’s also all about positive reinforcement. And that shines through in that video clip.

It’s always nice to see what the players see. I think we get a genuine Josh Heupel during press conferences, but that’s not the same Heupel the players see during practice.

By the way, it’s also easy to see from this clip why Heupel is so effective when it comes to developing quarterbacks. He understands the little things which helps make the big things easier.
