Former five-star recruit Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, a true freshman from Clarksville, TN, hasn't contributed a lot for the Tennessee Vols this season.

Huntley-Hatfield is averaging only 12.3 minutes per game and 3.8 points per game this season.

Not what you expect from a five-star recruit.

BHH, however, has been contributing more lately, averaging 8.3 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game over his last three games. It feels like he's figuring it out at just the right time for the Vols.

And on Saturday, in the Vols' 69-62 SEC Tournament semi-final win over Kentucky, Huntley-Hatifled had the best play of the day.

Check it out.

That's a five-star play. Huntley-Hatfield has always had the talent, but it's important to remember he's still just a year removed from high school. Making the leap to college basketball is a different experience for every player.

And just because Kennedy Chandler and Zakak Zeigler have excelled as true freshmen, doesn't mean Huntley-Hatfield won't be a great college player, too. He's just developing at a different rate.

The Vols are getting hot at the right time. Anything can happen in the NCAA Tournament, but you have to like the Vols' chances of making at least an Elite 8 run.
