There should be no doubt at this point that wide receiver Keon Coleman is part of the team’s long-term plans. That’s not to say a trade couldn’t take place between now and the season beginning, but for all intents and purposes, he’s here to stay.

Coleman went viral for his offseason work, spending some time with former Bills legend Stevie Johnson in hopes of improving his game. The upcoming third-year receiver left much to be desired with his 2025 performance.

Despite some off-the-field issues, general manager Brandon Beane made it crystal clear that Coleman is part of the team’s plans moving forward. Beane shared a sentiment similar to that of head coach Joe Brady, doubling down, it appears

Keon Coleman’s career stats with the Buffalo Bills

Coleman was drafted in the second-round of the of the 2024 NFL Draft.

  • 26 games played
  • 116 targets
  • 67 receptions
  • 960 yards
  • eight touchdowns

“I think Keon has really been dialed in this offseason,” Beane said. “Excited for what he’ll bring.”

Keon Coleman is here to stay, despite some teams showing interest

Beane shared that teams reached out to the Bills about Coleman between the Combine and the owners’ meetings. He also stated that the team “shut those down” rather quickly. Beane said that the intention was for Keon to remain with the team, and that they’ve hit the reset button with him, and hopefully, the fan base and everyone are behind him.

“I think his best year is yet to come here in 2026,” Beane said.

Some strong words from Brandon Beane on Keon Coleman’s future

That last line from Beane is the part that should stick with you.

The Bills didn’t just keep Coleman around; they doubled down on him. They turned away trade calls, hit the reset button, and made it clear they believe in what he can become. Not just what he’s shown so far, even though it hasn’t been great.

Now it’s on Coleman.

The flashes, at times, have been there. The opportunity is right in front of him. And in an offense led by quarterback Josh Allen, there are no more excuses left to hide behind.
If Beane was right, we’re about to see a completely different version of Coleman in 2026. One that finally turns all that potential into production when it matters most.
