A rising member of the Cincinnati Bengals' front office may capture a promotion in the near future.

Per NFL Media's Tom Pelissero, the Las Vegas Raiders have requested an interview with Bengals senior personnel executive Trey Brown for their general manager gig.

As Pelissero noted, Brown has experienced great highs on the personnel side of the business. He was a scout for the New England Patriots from 2010-12 before moving on to scout for the Philadelphia Eagles for two years. He then became Philly's assistant director of college scouting in 2015, and then director of college scouting from 2016-18.

Brown was a part of two trips to the Super Bowl and one Super Bowl victory before brief stints in the AAF and XFL. He then joined the Bengals as a scout in 2021, the year Cincinnati made its own Super Bowl run. He was promoted to senior personnel executive in 2022.

At just 38 years of age, Brown has risen tremendously in working 14 years in various personnel departments. He's an ideal candidate to make the jump to general manager, and the Raiders are in need of one to potentially pair with interim head coach Antonio Pierce.

The Bengals have an unusually small personnel staff, so Brown's potential departure would leave a sizable gap in their organization. They cannot block any promotion he might get from another team.
