Bengals Player Profile: Andrew Coker has the same task in front of him he’s taken on the last two years
Andrew Coker is the definitive preseason player. He’ll get significant reps in August to prove worthy of a 53-man roster spot, or to make the practice squad yet again.
We’re 89 days away from the Cincinnati Bengals’ preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles. We’re going through the entire Bengals 90-man roster leading up to final cuts and the 2026 regular season.
Our next player has been biding his time for almost two years in Cincinnati, and is still around for an outside shot at making the team.
Andrew Coker Player Profile
Age: 25
Year: 1
Position: Offensive tackle
College: TCU
Jersey Number: 79
Andrew Coker was originally an undrafted free agent signing of the Las Vegas Raiders following the 2024 NFL Draft. He played five seasons at TCU, and started three full seasons at right tackle from 2020-22. He played part of the 2023 season at left tackle before moving back to RT to end his collegiate career.
The Raiders waived Coker during final cuts in 2024. Cincinnati signed him to its practice squad in the middle of the regular season, directly following Orlando Brown Jr.’s Week 7 knee injury. The Bengals retained him on a futures deal in the 2025 offseason, and waived him leading up to the regular season. He was brought back on the practice squad, where he stayed the entire season.
Contract details
Coker signed a futures deal to remain with Cincinnati during the 2026 offseason. His contract, a one-year, $885,000 deal, is the minimum for a player with his level of experience. His cash figure and cap hit are both the $885,000 amount.
Roster outlook
Coker was worthy of a practice squad spot the last two years and that shouldn’t change this season. There remains depth questions behind starters Orlando Brown Jr. and Amarius Mims. So long as Cody Ford is the best swing tackle option, competition will be needed.
Coker is the definitive preseason player. He’ll get significant reps in August, and other clubs will have plenty of tape to evaluate him as a potential backup option if he makes it to waivers like he has the last two years.
The Bengals cut Coker last year, and barring injuries around him, will likely cut him again. Offensive linemen are never fully out of it until the time comes.
