The opening round of the 2026 NFL Draft is here with it being Thursday and tonight will be an important one for the Cleveland Browns. With two first-round picks scheduled to be made, it’s just about decision time for the Browns.

Cleveland isn’t expected to draft a quarterback early in this draft and their room currently has Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, and Dillon Gabriel on the team. There’s still a possibility the Browns add an outside name to the quarterback room, and it could be through a draft weekend trade.

Here are a few names that could make some sense for the Browns to trade for. You can at least make the case for it to happen.

Will Levis, Titans

Levis is a former second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft who started 21 games for the Tennessee Titans between 2023 and 2024. The former Kentucky standout was never able to show he was the franchise guy for the Titans and they couldn’t pass up taking Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick a year ago.

In 2025, Levis didn’t play at all while recovering from shoulder surgery. A quarterback with a big arm and dual threat ability, but his reckless ways have hurt him badly early in his NFL career. It wouldn’t cost more than a late Day 3 pick to get Levis from the Titans.

Anthony Richardson, Colts

The Colts tied themselves to Daniel Jones this offseason and their former first-round pick is heading into what will be the final year of his rookie deal. Richardson is in a similar spot to Levis as a player who just wasn’t able to prove to his current team that he’s a franchise guy. Still, he’s the best athlete the position has to offer in the NFL and he’s just about to turn 24 years old.

Indianapolis might hold onto Richardson for one last season, but it makes sense to get something for him before he walks next year. For the Browns, it’s a player with exciting traits you take a small risk on.

Spencer Rattler, Saints

Rattler is the third possible quarterback option the Browns could trade for. The former fifth-round pick is the backup to Tyler Shough in New Orleans, but he has 14 starts over the last two seasons. Rattler is 1-13 as a starter, but did look noticeably better in 2025 when he threw eight touchdowns to five interceptions.

The theme here is low risk and high reward. Rattler had the lowest ceiling of the three quarterbacks, but still would offer the most starting experience Cleveland has outside of Watson.
