Browns’ 2026 3-round NFL Mock Draft: Here’s what Cleveland needs to do following its free agency moves
Cleveland’s latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft following the free agency moves they’ve made to this point.
We’ve made it through a full week of NFL free agency, and it was a busy one for the Cleveland Browns, with several key moves.
The Browns went out and put together a starting offensive line, with nearly four of five positions figured out to this point. Cleveland also added LB Quincy Williams to take over for Devin Bush.
Cleveland can still add free agents between now and the draft that’ll start on April 23. The Browns will, but their biggest moves left to be made this offseason will be made in the draft where they’re scheduled to make nine picks.
Browns’ 2026 NFL Mock Draft following free agency
Round 1, Pick 6: Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia
With how the Browns operated in free agency, they only have a hole remaining at left tackle for the 2026 season. Taking the left tackle with the highest ceiling seems like an easy choice here. Freeling is super athletic at 6-foot-7, but a bit raw with not a ton of SEC football played. Ideally, the Brown can trade back and take him, but if not they should pick the trigger at No. 6.
Round 1, Pick 24: Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
The Browns need a big receiver on the outside who has the capabilities to be a true No. 1. Boston is a guy in this class who can be just that at 6-foot-4, with his ability to make tough catches. Boston needs to continue to improve as a route runner, but he would be an instant upgrade for the Browns.
Round 2, Pick 39: D’Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana
I keep coming back to Ponds being the pick here for the Browns in a best player available situation. Ponds’ height may end up limiting him to the slot, which is fine because it’s an increasingly important position in the NFL. The Browns adding a potentially elite nickel to an already very good defense only takes the unit to another level.
Round 3, Pick 70: Max Klare, TE, Ohio State
David Njoku is out and the Browns have brought in Jack Stoll to be their blocking tight end. Cleveland needs another pass catcher at the position, as well as a player who can play in-line. Klare was a great receiving tight end at Purdue and his one year at Ohio State helped him become a more complete tight end. A tight end duo of Harold Fannin Jr. is exciting.
