The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are supposed to be bitter rivals, regardless of context. This is something diehard fans know and feel to their bones.

Take 2024 for example. The Cowboys have 0.1% odds to make the postseason while the Eagles seem to be flying directly to land the one seed in the NFC. And yet, when they face each other again in Week 17, it'll be a special matchup from a fans' perspective. It's the Eagles! How can you not despise them as a fan, right?

Well, Micah Parsons is channeling that sentiment as a player, too. Leading up to Week 16's divisional clash between the Eagles and Washington Commanders, Parsons is rooting hard for Washington.

"Well, duh," you might be thinking. "The Cowboys need the Commanders to lose, what on Earth did you expect him to say?"

While that's true, it isn't all that's fueling Parsons' thoughts heading into the weekend. He showed that with an explosive quote fans will love to hear.

"Nah, at this point, it’s f**k Philly, now," Parsons told reporters, via The Athletic's Jon Machota. "Even if we got eliminated, like, I gotta crush Philly. F***k them. I hate them now. I be seeing them talk so much on social (media).”

Well, okay, Micah! I gotta tell you, this is the kind of stuff many old-school NFL fans miss from their team's top stars. Nowadays, with social media being as important as it is, it's not odd to see teams from rival teams not only interact but even go on each other's podcasts and stuff. Now granted, they're professionals and I don't blame them for it. They're players, not fans.

But it's also refreshing to hear a player like Parsons take such a stance. Is he doing it genuinely? Is it part of an act? Honestly, I wouldn't know. But I'm sure it's something Cowboys Nation will appreciate it nevertheless.
