The Denver Broncos are going to have to make some very tough decisions in the 2023 off-season. These decisions will be some that fans may not like, and other players won't like. But, these may very well have to be done if Denver wants to have more cap space to work with.

There are three guys the Broncos should let walk this offseason that could save them a bit of money.

Dalton Risner, OL

The Colorado native has enjoyed his time in Denver with his childhood favorite team, but, that may have to come to an end this offseason. Risner just had two underwhelming seasons in a row and wasn't completely healthy in either of them.

According to Spotrac.com, the Broncos have $12 million in cap space as things currently stand, which isn't a whole lot to work with. Letting Risner, who is a free agent, walk this offseason would save them a bit of money, as his projected market value is $9.5 million annually. Not to mention, the Broncos may want to move on from some of their pieces on the offensive line, especially after allowing 55 sacks. Risner allowed three sacks and 29 total pressures in 2022.

Mike Boone, RB

The Broncos had their hands full with Boone last season, in a bad way. For some reason, he just couldn't seem to stay healthy, which isn't entirely his fault, but the Broncos had enough bad luck with injuries last season.

It is pretty obvious the Broncos love what they have in Javonte Williams. But, we also know they may be wanting to target other pieces at that position in free agency and the draft. It just makes sense to let a guy walk who you were already paying $3.8 million.

Eric Tomlinson, TE

The Broncos found something last season in their tight end room, several times. To start, they found out that their rookie in Greg Dulcich has elite potential and showed it plenty of times. Then Albert Okwuegbunam ended up coming on at the end too. Plus, the Broncos like what they see from Eric Saubert. So, they have options, and I just don't think Tomlinson is a part of that.
