National media outlet names the Broncos’ biggest need after the draft and recommends bringing a six-time Pro Bowler home to fill it
The Denver Broncos’ roster is in a really good place as we enter the summer months. There are still a few areas, however, where the Broncos could stand to bolster their roster.

Denver entered the offseason with very few holes. The Broncos’ biggest objective was to add an offensive playmaker, which they did by trading for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
CBS Sports names the Broncos’ biggest remaining need and how they should fill it
CBS Sports named the biggest remaining need for each franchise following the 2026 NFL Draft and they went with a defensive lineman for the Broncos after pointing out the loss of John Franklin-Myers to the Tennessee Titans.
And they suggested that Denver sign six-time Pro Bowler Calais Campbell to fill that need.
“The Broncos lost very little this offseason outside John Franklin-Myers, but Franklin-Myers is a considerable loss,” wrote CBS Sport’ Zachary Pereles. “The Broncos used an early third-round pick on Tyler Onyedim, but Campbell is still playing at a high level at 39 and would provide an immediate upgrade for a team looking to win a Super Bowl.”
Campbell is from Denver, and he’s been incredibly productive even into his late 30s.
But unfortunately for the Broncos, Campbell signed with the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday morning.
DaQuan Jones and DJ Reader are among the available free agent defensive linemen who could make sense for the Broncos.
