Cleveland Browns fans run heavily throughout Ohio, especially in Columbus where many of the fans also enjoy the football team there.

If you ask any Browns fan who roots for Ohio State football, they’re going to tell you they support Buckeye players that make it to the NFL, unless they’re playing Cleveland.

The Wild Card matchup between the Browns and Houston Texans makes it possible that rookie QB C.J. Stroud could soon be hurting some of his biggest fans.

Stroud is the most celebrated Buckeye in the NFL at this time due to the phenomenal rookie season he has had. The front-runner for the NFL’s Rookie of the Year award has his toughest test to date on Saturday against Cleveland.

The last time the two teams played in Week 16, Stroud was out that game, and the Texans lost. Case Keenum made the start for the Texans and Cleveland prevailed, 36-22. That is a little extra motivation for him to go out there and help his team change the result as if a playoff win wasn’t enough already.

Just a couple of seasons ago, Stroud was helping Ohio State compete for a National Championship. Now, he has the chance to unfortunately break the hearts of some of his biggest fans in the Buckeye State by defeating the Browns.
