The Las Vegas Raiders are in a spot that they haven't been in for almost a decade, and that's looking for a starting quarterback.

This week in Indianapolis, the NFL combine is taking place, making it the perfect time for the Raiders to pound the pavement for a new signal-caller. No time has been wasted by the Raiders in that regard as they're set to meet with Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson.

Richardson only attempted 67 passes in his first two seasons with the Gators. He got the green light as the starter in 2022, and he showed some flashes of being a good player on the next level.

To kick off the season, Richardson led an upset of Utah who was ranked 10th in the country. He didn't have a passing touchdown but ran for 106 yards and three scores.

Although it was in a losing effort against Tennessee when they were ranked sixth in the nation, Richardson carved up the Volunteers' defense for 453 yards and two passing touchdowns and added another 62 on the ground and two rushing scores.

Richardson's performance in the final two games of the season versus Vanderbilt and Florida State saw him throw six touchdown passes. However, it also displayed some inconsistencies.

He completed under 60% of his passes in both games. Richardson's worst passing performance in terms of percentage came against the Seminoles in the season finale as he went nine for 27 (33.3%).

For the year, Richardson had four games in which he completed under 50% of his passes. However, when he was in a groove, Richardson showed some nice arm talent, and his ability to make plays with his legs, sometimes in an improvising manner, make him an intriguing prospect (had nine rushing touchdowns in 2022).

The Raiders have Richardson on their radar, that's apparent. He'll need to improve some things, especially his accuracy, but there is some upside to his game.
