Maxx Crosby is on a mission to prove everyone wrong. When he was nearly traded to the Baltimore Ravens but stayed with the Las Vegas Raiders, he remembered every negative comment about him—because that’s the kind of player he is, Jordan-esque.

Crosby has already let one NFL analyst know how he feels, doing so directly. Instead of a subtweet or insider report, Crosby messaged the analyst on Instagram with “Noted” and a clown emoji. Brandt, apparently, did not appreciate the message.

NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt responds to Maxx Crosby

“I genuinely want to know what was noted,” NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt said on TV Monday. “You can’t be all fast and loose, throwing out those clown emojis. Is it because I said the Ravens only let Crosby go because of Trey Hendrickson? Or is it because I said one of the teams picking in the top 5 of the draft will make the playoffs, and I said it’s the Titans?

“But what is it because I’m not going to do this Stephen A thing, where I say ‘you don’t want to make an enemy of me’ Maxx, I like you, and I think we’ve had a good relationship from a distance. I voted for you for DPOY before you blew up… I’d love an answer to the question.”

Crosby feels like everyone outside the Raiders and the Raiders’ fan base is now doubting him. And, that’s valid—the Ravens just “failed him” on a physical because of his knee injury, which everyone knew about. To Crosby, this is the Ravens, and others around the league, thinking he’s washed up or done for. He knows he still has so much to give. This is the NFL’s version of Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan when it comes to mindset.

Crosby is taking notes and making sure everyone knows when they’re wrong. This is fire and passion, and we’ll see it all come out when he’s back on the field.
