The odds aren’t looking great for one of the Miami Dolphins’ stars to collect a well-deserved offseason honor

The Miami Dolphins’ roster has a handful of blue chip players. One of them may not get a recognition they’ve clearly earned this summer.

The road to recognition for NFL offensive lineman is always a little bit tougher than most other positions. Miami Dolphins center Aaron Brewer is no exception — although that took a promising turn when Brewer became one of the highest paid centers in all of football.

Once the first big headline comes, folks usually take notice. But make no mistake about it. Brewer has been sensational the last two seasons in Miami. So much so that he earned a second-team All-Pro nod in 2025 before landing his big contract. Those accolades may be too little, too late for an annual summer list, however. The NFL’s annual Top 100 poll, as voted on by NFL players, has started its 2026 introduction. And the first center to be revealed is one who has commanded the spotlight much longer than Brewer. Chiefs center Creed Humphrey has ranked 94th in 2026.

Miami Dolphins center Aaron Brewer’s NFL Top 100 odds aren’t looking great at the moment

Humphrey is one of just two centers in the NFL to have secured a higher annual average on his contract than what Aaron Brewer recently signed for with the Miami Dolphins. Humphrey’s also rolled up the career accolades, earning four consecutive Pro Bowls and first-team All-Pro honors in the last two seasons. From an awards perspective, he’s the top dog at the position.

Granted, that doesn’t mean that Aaron Brewer can’t also make the annual Top 100 list — but it would probably be considered a bit of an upset given just how decorated Humphrey’s career has been. To put the NFL Top 100 into perspective, the last time we had more than one center make the list was back in 2022, when Philadelphia’s Jason Kelce and Los Angeles’ Corey Linsley took home the top spots. To put that timeline into perspective, the top two players that year were Tom Brady and Aaron Donald. Both have been retired for multiple seasons at this point.

So Brewer’s outlook for the honor is going to require a whole bunch of respect from his peers across the NFL. And a bit of an outlier result. We’ll see — but Thursday’s release with Humphrey isn’t an inspiring development for the Miami Dolphins standout.
