The Miami Dolphins have announced six players who have been voted as team captains for 206.
The proverbial “tribe” has spoken. The Miami Dolphins players voted at the end of last week on their choices for team captains.
Head coach Jeff Hafley has tallied the votes. And in total, the Miami Dolphins will have six captains for their 2026 team. The Dolphins’ roster is knocked for it’s lack of leadership and experience — but in all their leadership group sure feels like a sturdy group to help lead the masses. Here are the six Dolphins players voted as team captains for Jeff Hafley’s first season in South Florida.

- Quarterback Malik Willis
- Running back De’Von Achane
- Center Aaron Brewer
- Tackle Patrick Paul
- Defensive tackle Zach Sieler
- Linebacker Jordyn Brooks
None of these should be considered surprises. Miami’s organization has poured into three of the six nominees this offseason in the form of contract extensions. Achane, Brewer, and Brooks all got new deals in part because of their play and leadership — so to see the team follow suit with another vote of confidence should not be a surprise.
Most franchises have their starting quarterback among their captains, too. Willis, in his first season in South Florida, is no exception.
When you consider the other two names? Zach Sieler is one of the most experienced players on the roster and his journey to this point is the epitome of the NFL dream. A small school 7th-round draft choice who joined the Dolphins back in 2019 off the waiver wire. Back-to-back 10 sack seasons. And several contract extensions to boot. Patrick Paul rounds out the captain group — with perhaps the only surprise being that there were no “specialists” who got a nod.
