The post-NFL Draft power rankings are here and they’re showing no love for the Miami Dolphins

No one at the Worldwide Leader seems to be buying that the Miami Dolphins’ 2026 season could surprise.

The expectations aren’t exactly high in 2026 for the Miami Dolphins.

It isn’t hard to see why. The name brand value has been swapped out. Highly paid stars like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Bradley Chubb, and others have all been shipped out. So, too, has team leadership. And in their place is something new. Something young. And something unproven. But is it really set to be the worst the league has to offer in 2026? The post-draft Power Rankings seem to think so.

The Miami Dolphins check in dead last in ESPN’s post-2026 NFL Draft power rankings

Dead last. ESPN’s latest power rankings for the 2026 season have Miami ranked 32nd out of 32 franchises in the league. There’s no one person to blame. Per the rankings, it was a collective team effort to stack the league’s rosters after the 2026 NFL Draft. “Our power panel of more than 80 writers, editors and TV personalities evaluates how NFL teams stack up against one another, ranking them from 1 to 32.”

Maybe the Miami Dolphins finish as the league’s worst team in 2026. The schedule is certainly challenging and the Dolphins are going to feature an overwhelming amount of young, unproven players taking a whole lot of snaps in 2026. But unproven doesn’t guarantee “poor”. Miami’s variance of outcomes this year is vast — and there’s a real chance the floor of the team will be set by names like head coach Jeff Hafley, new quarterback Malik Willis, and others.

Should the Miami Dolphins surpass expectations, it’d be safe to suspect those two will play a central role. Unfortunately for Miami, the expectations are essentially on the floor. This group will have their chance to flip the script in the months ahead, but no one appears to be buying those odds just yet. At least not at ESPN.
