The Minnesota Vikings are 1-0 in the preseason as they head into U.S. Bank Stadium to take on the Baltimore Ravens.

Since both teams went into the joint practices with a lot of team drills, this will make Saturday all about the young players on the roster. J.J. McCarthy is going to get the start at quarterback, and he is likely to play at least the first half, possibly more.

How much will each player end up playing? That is the biggest question, and an opportunity for the depth players to get more snaps on tape. It’s a game you won’t want to miss, and here’s how you can watch.

3 things to watch for on Saturday afternoon

  • McCarthy is going to be starting the game, and it’s going to be important for him to get more snaps. Hopefully, McCarthy plays well into the third quarter so we can get more information about where he’s at.
  • Wide receiver depth is going to be worth watching. Myles Price and Tai Felton have separated themselves to make the roster, giving Jeshaun Jones, Dillon Bell, and Dontae Fleming some work to do.
  • How will the safety position stack up? Jacob Thomas has been surging over the last week, and there are some interesting layers with the discussion, including whether Harrison Smith comes back. Plus, linebacker is interesting, especially with the performances of Jacob Roberts and Bangally Kamara.
