Here's a look at Patriots legend Tom Brady's broadcasting debut on FOX during UFL championship
Tom Brady has officially begun the next chapter in his career.
After hanging up his cleats and taking a season off to spend with his family, the Patriots legendary quarterback will start his time as a lead analyst for FOX Sports, having signed a 10-year, $375 million contract at the end of his playing career.
And on Sunday, he got his first opportunity in the booth, joining Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt in the booth during the UFL Championship. Here is a look:
It's good that he's getting some practice, because the NFL season is right around the corner.
And it was announced that Brady's first game in the booth will be a Week 1 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns.
When it became official, Brady reacted to the news back in May.
"Amazing. Obviously having the Cowboys on is a huge draw," Brady said. "As America's Team, it's going to get a little hard for me to say that all the time, understand they were the competition for a long time, but in this new role, I know the Cowboys, how important they are to this network.
He even managed to make a little dig at Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
“They got great storylines," Brady said with a smile. "Dak Prescott, let’s see if he can finally come through. Did that just slip out?”
However, Micah Parsons and Coach Mike McCarthy did get some nice shoutouts.
"Micah Parsons, what a great player he is, and Coach McCarthy. I love covering them and I've obviously been going against them for a long time, and now I get to tell everyone how great they are," Brady added.
Everyone is excited including the Kelce brothers
How does Travis think Brady is going to do?
“Fantastic, because it’s (expletive) Tom Brady,” he said.
Jason had similar sentiments.
“He’s going to do (expletive) great. He’s the greatest quarterback of all time. He’s going to be able to share his insight, what he thinks about the game live. He’s going to be sharing what was going on in his head while he was playing, and he’s going to be doing that for everyone to listen to," Jason said. "I (expletive) can’t wait for Tom Brady to call games and he’s going to kill it.”
"I can’t wait hear what Tom sounds like, hear what he says about different situations, his analysis, especially on the quarterback position, on everything. It’s going to be awesome,” he added.
