Steelers 2026 NFL Draft: Best available players at positions of need for Pittsburgh heading into Rounds 2 and 3

Here are three players at positions of need that would make a ton of sense and are the best available for the Steelers in Rounds 2 and 3 in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Well, if you survey the landscape after Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft and you talk to fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers, you will see and hear an upset fanbase. Not even so much because of the pick at 21, but because of the Steelers process and ultimately the final result.

But the truth is, round one is behind us, and the Steelers have 11 picks remaining, including four on day two of the draft. So we are going to look at the top three players the Steelers should be considering, all of which come at positions of need.

Chris Bell, WR, Louisville

Bell falling to round two is no surprise for me, or really anyone, given that he suffered an ACL tear that cut his season short. But he’s already back sprinting, and if the draft was held in June, he probably could have had a whole Pro Day.

You simply don’t find players with the size and speed he possesses very often, and we know the Steelers wanted and ultimately still want a WR when judging the Round 1 debacle.

Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson

Terrell was always going to be difficult to project in Round 1 because, at his best, he’s a slot corner. That, coupled with a hamstring strain that hampered his 40-yard dash time at his Pro Day, is why he slid to day two.

The bottom line, however, is that Terrell is a buttery smooth athlete who can guard a myriad of body types, and the best part…He will come down and thump. Tell his career forced-fumble numbers that he’s too small and/or slight.

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo

McNeil-Warren is one of my favorite players in the entire class, and there was real buzz that he could sneak into Round 1, but ultimately he was bitten by the positional-value bug. To see the Steelers pass on Dillon Thieneman was both disappointing and surprising.

I fully expect the Steelers to attack the position at some point, and it should be sooner rather than later with a player who has the range, ball skills, and size that McNeil-Warren has. The Steelers also hosted him to a top-30 visit.
