The legend of Tennessee Titans offensive line coach Bill Callahan seems to grow more and more by the day.

Tuesday marked the first day of minicamp for the Titans. The Titans made a handful of players available for the media in attendance while head coach Brian Callahan took to the podium to field questions.

The Titans, who are loaded with newcomers, conducted business as usual as the team continues to grow comfortable under the new coaching staff's direction. However, it wasn't until after practice until Brian Callahan was able to experience a really cool moment with his father.

Callahan gathered the team together and surprised his father with a special announcement. Bill Callahan was the Pro Football Writers of America's 2024 recipient of the Dr. Zimmerman Award recognizing his lifetime achievement as an NFL assistant coach.

Steve Spagnuolo who serves as the defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs joined Callahan as the other recipient.

Callahan has 26 years of experience at the NFL level, but there probably aren't too many moments that top the feeling of receiving lifetime achievement award from your son (and current boss).

"Fortunate," Callahan said after the team collectively lobbied for an award speech. "Had a lot of great players I've been with over the years. It's a real honor. My God, I'm shocked. It's all about the players, right. It's about helping players get better every day. I appreciate that, I appreciate all of you guys. [I'm] looking forward to the year, man."
