Steelers sign former Commanders LB Cole Holcomb in free agency
Holcomb comes to Pittsburgh on a three year deal.
It seems to have taken long enough, but the Steelers finally addressed the elephant in the room of inside linebacker.
Per Tom Pelisserro of NFL Media, the Steelers have agreed to terms with former Commanders linebacker Cole Holcomb.
Holcomb only suited up for seven games last season as he dealt with injury, but his three years prior were notable.
The 26-year-old captain logged 142 tackles, two interceptions, and seven pass breakups in 16 games in 2021.
The Steelers signing Holcomb to a three-year deal while he's in his prime signals their feelings about him, displaying that he is a key figure in the future of Pittsburgh linebackers.
