The Seattle Seahawks added multiple players that could end up a part of their long term roster plan in the 2025 NFL Draft. Many have already impressed the team's coaching staff before training camp even arrives.
Unfortunately, a tricky situation is brewing surrounding two of the Seahawks' top rookies: Nick Emmanwori and Elijah Arroyo, both of whom remain unsigned, with training camp being just around the corner.
Seahawks rookie TE Elijah Arroyo remains unsigned due to something out of the team's control

The Seahawks used the 50th pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Arroyo. He gives the Seahawks a TE with a ton of talent and the potential to become a true game changer for their new look offense. Before he can do that, though, he will have to sign his rookie contract, something most second round picks are still waiting to do. The holdup here is caused by the Houston Texans' shocking decision to give Jayden Higgins the first ever fully guaranteed rookie contract for a second-round pick.
Since this occurred, only one other second-round pick has landed a deal: Carson Schwesinger of the Cleveland Browns, who also received a fully guaranteed contract. The market has remained frozen since then, and we already have our first reported training camp holdout from the group: Tre Harris of the Los Angeles Chargers. Hopefully, the Seahawks and Arroyo are able to come to an agreement, and he will begin training camp with the team, which would avoid the crisis altogether. However, if they are unable to come to an agreement, it would be hard to blame the rookie for holding out until a deal is signed. Going out on the practice field and practicing without a signed deal would put him in a terrible situation if he were to suffer any form of injury. If I were a rookie, I certainly wouldn't practice until I put pen to paper.
A Seahawks rookie who went undrafted has a chance to prove the rest of the NFL wrong by landing a roster spot in training camp
The Seattle Seahawks' 2025 NFL Draft class has already impressed the team and has the potential to make a significant impact on the team for the foreseeable future. Their rookie class' talent goes beyond the players they drafted during the seven rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft. They also have intriguing undrafted rookies who could still play […]
