Less than two weeks to go until the 2025 NFL Draft kicks off in Green Bay, and the Buffalo Bills are set to be plenty busy. With information begin to trickle in about pre-draft visits and private workouts, and the board beginning to crystallize a bit, I put together a full seven round mock draft of Bills picks using a mock draft simulator.
Without trades, which are almost assuredly going to happen, the haul turned out amazingly well for the Bills in this scenario. Let's get into it.
Round 1, Pick 30: Shavon Revel Jr., Cornerback, ECU
I'm as big a Shavon Revel Jr. fan as you're going to find. Revel has incredible physical traits standing at just under 6'2" 194 lbs with over 32" arms, and he knows how to use it.
The biggest thing for Revel will be his injury. Coming off an ACL tear that cut his breakout season short, Revel was unable to participate in drills at the NFL Scouting Combine, but he's expected to be back and ready by the start of training camp. With great ball skills, athleticism, and the ability to use his frame to high point the ball, he would be an excellent CB2 to line up opposite Christian Benford.
Round 2, Pick 56: Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss
The Bills need guys that can get after the quarterback, and Princely Umanmielen out of Ole Miss is really, really good at doing that. He's a super athletic and twitched up edge rusher with great speed and bend around the corner. Last season, he posted an unbelievably strong pass rush win rate of 22.8%, which was third in the country among qualified pass rushers, and second in this class only behind James Pearce.
With Greg Rousseau locked in and veteran Joey Bosa joining the fold, Princely could start as a rotational pass rusher and attempt to work his way up to earning more playing time. He has about as high an upside as anyone outside Jalen Carter in this draft class as a pure pass rusher.
Round 2, Pick 62: Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State
The Bills, through the receivers that they have decided to meet with and host for private workouts this spring, have made it abundantly clear that they want speed. While Royals isn't the fasted receiver they've met with (4.42 40-yard dash), he's a special playmaker once he gets the ball and runs clean, nuanced routes. He's a dude.
Round 4, Pick 109: Ty Robinson, DL, Nebraska
The Bills pick up an athletic defensive lineman with positional flexibility. With a 9.91 RAS, Ty Robinson made himself known at the Scouting Combine in a big way. He can line up anywhere from the B gap to outside the tackle, and has a strong motor and serious strength to collapse the pocket.
Round 4, Pick 132: DJ Giddens, RB, Kent State
DJ Giddens is an unbelievably dynamic running back. He has elite athleticism that pops on tape and showed up in his athletic testing, posting the second-best 10-yard split of any running back at 1.49 seconds. Bhayshul Tuten beat him by .01. Giddens has rushed for 2,569 yards and 17 touchdowns over his last two seasons, and with James Cooks' situation unsettled, adding Giddens to the rooms gives the Bills more breathing room. With his patience and vision, he would feast behind the Buffalo offensive line.
Round 5, Pick 169: Jeffrey Bassa, LB, Oregon
We know how much Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott love the Senior Bowl, and how much they love leaders. Oregon linebacker Jeffrey Bassa certainly checks those boxes. Athletic and a sure tackler, he adds depth to the linebacker room.
Round 5, Pick 170: Oronde Gadsden II, TE, Syracuse
Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox are locked in, but the Bills could use another name on the depth chart. Athletic and fluid, Gadsden is a receiving threat with a great production profile and a large catch radius.
Round 5, Pick 173: RJ Mickens, S, Clemson
I think the Bills are looking at their depth chart at safety thinking that Cole Bishop is going to compete for a starting job, but they could certainly use more depth to add to the competition. RJ Mickens is fluid with good instincts, can drive on the ball, and has solid hands. I think he deserves to go higher than this.
Round 6, Pick 177: Tommi Hill, CB, Nebraska
The Bills add another name into the depth competition at cornerback in 6-foot, 213 lbs Tommi Hill out of Nebraska. At the Scouting Combine, Travis Hunter said Hill was one of the toughest corners he went against.
Round 6, Pick 206: Zeek Biggers, DL, Georgia Tech
You can do a lot worse than take a dart throw late on a defensive tackle that's 6-foot-5, 321 lbs, and posted a 9.80 RAS. The Bills have had a Zoom meeting with Biggers, who could be a target of theirs on Day 3.
